DIY….Air Freshener

As a mom to three girls and a newborn boy, air fresheners are a must have !! Between dirty diapers and bathroom runs this easy DIY air freshener is awesome !! It’s easy to make and you can add any essential oil in to make it personal or seasonal. Try cinnamon ,eucalyptus or mint during the winter months, rose during spring, or citrus year round for an energizing lift.

This super easy  to make Air Freshener consists of:

  • Baking soda (1 1/2 cups)
  • Essential oil
  • A jar with a lid ring
  • cheese cloth (Optional)

Add baking soda and 8 to 12 drops of essential oil.If using cheese cloth, cut to fit top of jar and twist ring on top. If you don’t have cheesecloth using a sharp knife to poke holes in the top of the lid will work and you can make designs or initials. When the smell starts to dissipate give the jar a shake after adding a few more drops of essential oil. You can keep this in bathrooms, baby’s room (out of reach of curious hands of course), and any room will benefit from smelling great.
